So I'm going to the beach this weekend with some friends, who all happen to be guys. I have no problem with that. I knew when I signed up that this would be a very different weekend than one with my girls or with lots of girls and boys. I thought it would mean more excitement about drinking games and more football on the beach (okay Kristin, not more football than with you).
And then Karl e-mails today to say he's "so excited" because he just bought an XBOX.
And I see my weekend slowly slipping away. I've seen lots of boys with video games, and even these boys with video games, and Andy even tried to teach me how to play during the brief period that I was "employed" in the video game industry. What this means is that I need to bring another book or three.
And really, too bad for them, because the sun will still be shining on the beach while they're inside playing video games, the girls in bikinis will ALL be on the beach. Except for the ones in the video games, but that's a different issue.
