West Coast Girl

I always thought this was just a cute story about ducks and Boston, until I was driving down Georgia Ave. this morning and cars were stopped for no apparent reason. And then I saw one of the crossing guards diving for something that turned out to be a very frightened duckling. Those little suckers are fast! It's mom was not far behind, and was determined not to leave her baby even as it headed directly into oncoming traffic. They made it to the curb and I drove off, but then noticed another little guy being chased around on the other side of the street. I hope this ending was as happy as the one in Boston.
